"Speakers' Forum has done a good job bringing speakers to pack Memorial Chapel, as well as choosing speakers who appeal to a variety of Union's population," said Kerrie Wolf, assistant director of Student Activities at Union. She thought Penn's speech was "great" and "mixed humor with an informative speech that kept students engaged."
Questions for Penn during the question and answer session ranged from his experiences growing up in New Jersey and Los Angeles to his thoughts on the word "empowerment" when talking about the Asian American community, to his experience with working with actors such as Keifer Sutherland, Hugh Laurie, and Neil Patrick Harris.
Wolf hopes that the people who went to his speech that night "learned something about how the media has influences everything."
Subhash agrees, and hopes that Penn can come to Union again. "I really enjoyed how intellectual his speech was and how he was able to use his celebrity to educate us about important issues. He seems like a really fascinating person, maybe he could guest lecture here like he did at UPenn."
