No matter what year it is, what age you are, or what your personal preferences are towards fashion or style, once spring rolls around, sundresses do too. Girls cannot seem to resist the temptation of an easy, breezy, comfortable solution to all fashion dilemmas. The sundress was the style of choice for Springfest this past weekend, and I am sure it will be as well for class this week, and for the upcoming ReUnion weekend. There are tons of styles of sundresses, and in case you are interested in buying one, here are these season's most popular sundress trends.
Free People and Urban Outfitters are great sources for bohemian dresses, which have been very popular this season. Hippie prints and California cool shapes are important and this look can be defined by handkerchief hems, flowers, and asymmetrical necklines. If that isn't your thing, nothing says California cool quite like a long dress. Worn with flip flops, earthy flats, hoop earrings, and minimal accessories, you can look like you just threw on your outfit in a minute while also appearing put together and fashion forward.
For the preppier crowd, there are tons of options for sundress looks. For something more conservative, try a short sleeve dress that hits above the knee, and look for detailing like ruffles and rosettes to complement an otherwise simple dress. Other more conservative options include spaghetti strap dresses with vibrant prints or muted colors, whichever you prefer. Tiers can also look great, and with gladiator sandals can look very put together. As far as solids go, try bright colors like pinks and blues to really make your features pop. And you can never go wrong with a white dress in solid, lace, or eyelet fabrics.
So let's hope the weather stays warm and sunny, and bring out your favorite sundress for practically any occasion.
