One of the greatest elements of the organization's success has been the Union College student involvement that has occurred and grown over the past few months of the RollingForAutism undertaking. Tatar expressed that all the people who have gotten involved and dedicated their time and efforts are "bright, motivated kids that have taken advantage of the opportunity to receive an education, appreciate the opportunity, and desire to create similar opportunities for others."

After graduation this spring, a team of skaters and supporters will begin their 2000 mile trip - skating from Florida to Maine. The RollingForAutism team has been busy planning stops in major cities along their route, from Savannah, Georgia to Washington D.C., and on through New York City, Hartford, and Boston. Each destination will consist of a dinner and a party at a designated location, with the goal of increasing the public's awareness of RollingForAutism, raising as much money as possible to add to the autism scholarship fund the organization has started and to make each event a memorable and special evening for everyone in attendance.

The RollingForAutism team feels it is important to enjoy the project because they can accomplish so much more just by putting heart and energy into it. Tatar elaborated, saying, "I think the main reason we've achieved success to date is that we haven't taken a dry, emotional path towards our project, which is often the case in charity work; instead, we are raising awareness and opportunity through fun."

Just a glance at the organization's website, www.rollingforautism.com, exudes the excitement and energy all the members bring to the cause. Teammate biographies and pictures show just how much fun these students are having with each other and the work that goes into the organization of the trip and the project. The website boasts over 50 young adults on the team that come from all areas of the Union College community, as well as several other colleges and high schools in the Northeast.
